QUIK-FIRE GAS BBQs WERE BORN OF TWO DESIRES

 

  

  
FIRST:     Doc, having moved to Thailand some years back, and having had the good
               fortune to marry his super wonderful Thai wife, Sawitta. Needed a top quality
               Gas Barbecue.
SECOND:  Sawitta, being a conscientious. loving and deserving woman, had a great
               desire to contribute more to the marriage than simply being a stay at home
               wife.

 THE QUIK-FIRE STORY
Locating a quality top covered Gas Barbecue in Thailand seemed to be an impossible task other than purchasing one of the, in Doc's opinion, overly priced imported Gas Barbecues in a Box.

Not satisfied with this commercial style of barbecue considering the price, it was time for Doc to put on his creative thinking cap, and set his mind to designing an innovative Gas Barbecue that would so out perform the assembly line models, there would be no comparison to quality, or price.

During Doc's life in the U.S. he had engineered and built several very fast and beautiful, show and go cars, pickups, Harley Davidson's, and one outrageous street/show 16ft long (4.88 meter), 400 cubic inch, high torque 435+ horsepower three wheeled style dragster.

With this experience, creating a high quality, highly efficient Gas Barbecue wouldn't be a problem.

In mid 2004, Sawitta and Doc set out to find an experienced Thai sheet metal fabricator in Udon Thani. It took close to a year scouting around to find the right Thai crew with the skills and where-with-all to take on the challenge of assisting in creating quality Gas Barbecues.

Once the fabrication crew was found, it took some time for them to understand the detailed quality standards that were necessary.

 
Subsequently, this new gas barbecue would ultimately become Sawitta's QUIK-FIRE Brand Gas Barbecue line, providing her a greater sense of worth and accomplishment.

With all monies going to Thai fabricators, along with reasonable commission for Sawitta for each Gas Barbecue she sells, Sawitta is on her way to having an income for herself.
